Upgrade and Migration Services

All Verbella CMG consultants have extensive IXOS / OpenText experience, which makes us an excellent resource to assist you with your next OpenText LiveLink Imaging project or software upgrade.  In addition to upgrading to the latest OpenText LiveLink Server Version, we can also assist you with any media migration projects that you might have. 

With the industry trending away from Jukebox storage towards faster, larger, lower administration types of devices such as NAS, SAN, and other Hard Disk Write Once Media, like the EMC Centera, media migration projects are becoming very common for LiveLink customers.

Verbella has performed dozens of media migration projects for our customers.  A typical project will include up front analysis, project planning and management, configuration and integration of the new storage device and a  knowledge transfer and support.  Typically after about weeks worth of training the customer will be a position to take over and finish the migration, or Verbella can complete the migration remotely.  The choice is yours.

In addition to the server upgrades, Verbella can also perform installations and upgrades of the LiveLink client software which includes the LiveLink Enterprise Scan, LiveLink Viewer, Java Viewer and Windows Viewer, and any and all SAP Add-on upgrades.  The SAP Add-on, include but not limited to DocuLink Upgrades, and DesktopLink.

Verbella CMG offers the following IXOS/OpenText Consulting Services 

LiveLink Enterprise Scan upgrades will include:

  • Uninstall previous versions of the LiveLink Scan Client, and “clean up” of the existing Workstation.
  • Installation of the latest version of the LiveLink Enterprise Scan Client, including latest Patch Level.
  • Installation of the latest ISIS Drivers and VRS Software and patches*
  • Analysis of the existing scanning processes as well as the documents to be imaged so that the best scanning profiles can be created.  These new profiles will utilize both LiveLink Enterprise Scan and Kofax VRS (if applicable).
  • Configuration of new scanning profiles including new features such as:
    - Automatic document orientation (VRS Only)
    - Scanning of color backgrounds (VRS Only)
    - 60% better OCR accuracy (VRS Only)
    - Quality Control Indicator / DPI Resampling
    - Improved Barcode Recognition
    - Automatic Cropping Feature
    - Sub-Profile concepts
    - Archiving Modes
  • Hands-on key-user orientation of new features
  • End user go-live support, to familiarize the end user with new features

  • Project Planning and Assessment
  • Review of sizing assumptions and storage options
